Neponset River clean-up to be held on Saturday September 21st, 2019

Come spend your weekend helping out the environment!

Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Can you volunteer for a few hours to help the environment? We need people like you!

The Neponset River Watershed Association (NepRWA), along with an extraordinary group of partners, is sponsoring the annual Neponset River Fall Cleanup on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m.-noon with work sites in the communities of Hyde Park, Mattapan, and Milton.

“The annual cleanup brings together people from across the region in an effort to improve parts of the Neponset River that often go unnoticed. People don’t have to travel very far to make a big difference in their community.” said NepRWA Executive Director, Ian Cooke.

Volunteers of all skill levels and physical abilities are needed to help with this fun and important project. Join for an hour or the entire time – there is no minimum requirement.

Pre-registration is appreciated for planning purposes. Register at www.neponset.org/volunteer or contact NepRWA cleanup coordinator, Kelly Di Stefano [email protected] 781-575-0354 x306.

All volunteers are asked to meet at their pre-assigned site.

Please bring water, sunscreen, hats, work gloves, appropriate footwear (no sandals) and work clothes that can get dirty. Snacks will be provided. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Supporters of the Neponset River Cleanup include:
State Representative Angelo M. Scaccia | State Representative Dan Cullinane | City Councilor Tim McCarthy | MA Dept. of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) | James G. Grant Co. | Paddle Boston | Tecnu | Town of Milton | ENE Systems, Inc. | Budget Dumpster
