Family-friendly concert to be held in honor of “Milton Porchfest”
The Ezekiel Wheels Klezmer Band to come to Milton Public Library
Our first concert for adults and families is happening on Saturday, September 21 at 2:00 p.m. as part of “Milton Porchfest,” to be held on the “old front porch” of the Library. The group will be The Ezekiel Wheels Klezmer Band and this internationally-acclaimed quintet brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to every performance. The Wheels improvise with the intimacy of chamber music and the intensity of a rowdy dance band, great for all ages! Their music is irresistible to audiences ranging from elementary school students to the judges at the International Jewish Music Festival. Having honed their unique style in the subway stations and farmers’ markets of Boston, the Wheels include Abigale Reisman on violin and vocals, Jonathan Cannon on violin, Kirsten Lamb on double bass and vocals, Nat Seelen on clarinet, and Pete Fanelli on trombone. Come join them for a great time for the whole family in the beautiful outdoors, and please bring an umbrella for sun and a chair or blanket to sit on the front lawn. (In case of rain, this event will be held in the Keys Community Room.) Refreshments will be available and we hope you will all come dance and make merry during this fun event to kick off the Fall season!
