Event in connection with special exhibition Changing Landscape: Sculpture at the Eustis Estate
Explore and Create Sculpture at the Eustis Estate
Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Eustis Estate, 1424 Canton Avenue, Milton, Mass.
Explore and create sculptures with a special day for families at the Eustis Estate in connection with the special exhibition Changing Landscape: Sculpture at the Eustis Estate.
There are many ways to connect with nature and the landscape–get inspired by the works of sculpture inside the museum and on the grounds. During this event, families can explore and create sculptures throughout, participate in a kids yoga class at 11:00 a.m., and take a family tour at noon. Yoga classes offered in partnership with Elliot Physical Therapy.
New England Sculpture Association artist Madeleine Lord will lead a drop-in workshop to create temporary sculptures from metal and magnets. Using pieces of scrap metal (as Madeleine does in her own sculptures) families will create “drawings” in three dimensions as shapes and figures emerge from the found materials.
Included with museum admission. Appropriate for children ages 5-12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
