Milton to host 4th of July activities on the holiday
Town of Milton and Milton Kiwanis to put together 4th of July celebration
On July 4th at 9:00 a.m. at Kelly Field, there will be 4th of July activities hosted by Town of Milton and Milton Kiwanis. These activities include the patriotic Pledge of Allegiance and singing of the National Anthem, kids races from ages 2 to 12, face painting, Hoodsies for everyone, antique fire engine for the kids to climb on, and more.
This event has been happening for at least 87 years! A local newspaper in 1933 reports children’s games and races at Brook Road Field and, of course, Hoodsies for all. Only at that time, they finished the evening with fireworks at the playground.
