Celebrate the start of summer with Blue Hills Trailside Museum

Learn about fireflies and go searching for them outdoors

Fireflies and lazy summer nights just seem to go together. Celebrate the start of summer with us as we enjoy a little ice cream, make a firefly craft, learn what fireflies like, and how you can make your backyard more firefly friendly. Then we’ll venture outside into the night to go looking for these flashing insects.

This program is suggested for families with young children, children under 3 are free.

Instructions and Directions: Please wear long pants and insect repellent, and don’t forget a flashlight! The rain date for this program is Saturday, June 29.
