Lecture to be held on Wednesday, June 5
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (BID-Milton) will hold a free community education lecture entitled “Common Conditions Affecting Women’s Pelvic Health” on Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Nangeroni Education Center.
Roger Lefevre, MD, a urogynecologist on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and BID-Milton, will discuss the different types of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor prolapse as well as the non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical treatments available.
Stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse co-exist in up to 80% of women with pelvic floor problems.
Dr. Lefevre is Director of the Division of Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He also schedules patient appointments at Milton Women’s Health in the Lintz Medical Office Building next to BID-Milton.
