Riverside Theatre Works presents Romeo & Juliet
Romeo & Juliet to play June 7 – June 9
Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park will present the classic tragic love story Romeo & Juliet June 7, 8 and 9. Shakespeare’s timeless play tells the story of a teenage boy and girl who find love while their families war with each other. The story is set in a city where gang violence and prejudice have overrun the authority of the church and state and poses the question of whether their love can survive a world’s hate.
Directed by Steve Dooner, Romeo & Juliet features MacKenzie LéTorre as Romeo and Issy Zoppo as Juliet, plus a stellar cast of professional and amateur actors who bring the beautiful words of Shakespeare to life in a way that is accessible to audiences of all ages (sword fights included!).
The professional production crew includes Producer Marilyn Whipple and Lighting Designer Mark Whipple, both of Milton.
Tickets are $20, with a special price of $18 for students and seniors. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit rtwboston.org or call 1-617-361-7024.
