Forbes House Museum hosts Chinese calligraphy workshop with Rayna Lo during ArtWeek Milton
Workshop to be held on Saturday, May 4th
As part of ArtWeek Milton, the town-wide cultural festival that runs April 26 – May 5, the Forbes House Museum is pleased to host artist Rayna Lo for a Chinese calligraphy workshop on Saturday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
While it can take a lifetime to become a Master Calligrapher, this workshop will teach you the history and fundamentals of Chinese calligraphy, giving you the opportunity to try it yourself with a Chinese brush, ink and rice paper. The workshop will encourage you to slow down and take a break from your fast-paced life, while you nurture the mental focus and psychic balance inherent in this ancient practice. By the end of the workshop, you will have a framed work of art to take home. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at: http://www.forbeshousemuseum.org/events/chinese-calligraphy-workshop/
