Town of Milton announces ten year master override schedule
In response to the recent Milton Public Schools Superintendent update regarding the FY20 budget, the Town has announced its long-awaited override schedule for the next ten years.
Residents should prepare for property tax increases for the following years:
Reasons for override included, for your convenience.
- 2020 (because it’s a leap year!)
- 2022 (new school)
- 2024 (purchase new library site on Blue Hill Ave.)
- 2025 (town hall new hires)
- 2026 (fire stations)
- 2027 (another new school since the last new school didn’t adequately project new enrollment)
- 2028 (purchase a new library site in East Milton, by the Milton Art Center)
- 2029 (yet another new school – see: 2027)
Plan accordingly, Miltonians. Consider setting up a special override savings account asap.
