Hank Phillippi Ryan to speak at Temple Beth David of the South Shore in Canton
Temple Beth David of the South Shore to host Hank Phillippi Ryan
How does an Emmy winning reporter become a best-selling author of fast-paced murder mysteries? And how does a just-the-facts journalist add mystery fiction to her resume – and juggle being a reporter, an author, a wife and a grandmother?
Hank Phillippi Ryan is on-air investigative reporter for Boston’s WHDH-TV, winning 34 EMMYs and dozens more journalism honors. She will speak at Temple Beth David of the South Chore in Canton, Mass., on Sunday, April 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Mysteries, Television, and the Mysteries of Television.
The nationally bestselling author of 10 mysteries, Ryan is also an award-winner in her second profession—with five Agathas, three Anthonys, two Macavitys, a Daphne, and a Mary Higgins Clark Award.
Her novels are Library Journal’s Best of 2014, 2015 and 2016. Hank’s newest book is the psychological thriller Trust Me (August 2018), named one of the Best Thrillers of Summer 2018 by New York Post, BOOK BUB, Real Simple Magazine and CrimeReads.
She’ll also reveal how she made a major career move at mid-life. How can you follow your dreams? Hank will have the scoop on mysteries, television, the mystery of television, and the mysteries of life.
The program is free and light refreshments will be provided, with donations accepted. Hank will also bring her books to sell at a discounted rate of $20 each, payable by check, cash or PayPal.
