Boston City Singers to hold free holiday concerts in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester
Concerts to be held on December 15th and December 16th
Come celebrate the season with Boston City Singers as they perform their annual free Winter Stars holiday concerts on Saturday, December 15th, in Jamaica Plain, and Sunday, December 16th, in Dorchester.
The Jamaica Plain concert will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 15th, at Hope Central Church, 85 Seaverns Ave., and will showcase the singing talents of children aged 4 to 11 from the organization’s Jamaica Plain and Dorchester Kodaly and Training Chorus groups.
The Dorchester show will take place on 3:00 p.m., December 16th, at St. Ann Church, 243 Neponset Ave., and feature performances by children from Boston City Singers’ Carolers and teens from its Cantare, Harmony and Tour Choir groups, along with the Saint John Paul Catholic Academy’s String Ensemble.
Admission is free. Free-will donations to Boston City Singers’ Scholarship Fund will be accepted at the door.

Founded in 1995, Boston City Singers is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing music education and youth development programming to children aged four to 18, regardless of financial need, in the Greater Boston area. The organization’s programs in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and Cambridge serve nearly 500 children from Boston’s urban neighborhoods, including Mattapan, Roxbury, Hyde Park and Roslindale, and nearby suburbs such as Milton, Quincy, Dedham, Newton, Somerville and Arlington. In addition to music instruction and performance experience, Boston City Singers also offers leadership training and academic support. Since 1995, 100% of our graduating seniors have been accepted to four-year college programs.
