Holiday Stroll at Walter Baker Artist Lofts presents Singalong with Ukulele
Holiday stroll to be held this Saturday, November 24th
For this year’s Holiday Stroll in Historic Lower Mills, the public is invited to join a singalong with ukuleles at the Walter Baker Building on Adams Street on Saturday November 24th, 2018 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm.
This may be the first time that the four-stringed instrument will accompany singers in the spacious interior of the famous building at 1231 Adams Street, which housed the former administrative offices of the oldest chocolate factory in the USA. Last year the Boston Guitar Orchestra gave several Christmas concerts for this event.
The history of this part of Milton Village is chronicled in Anthony M. Sammarco’s book “The Baker Chocolate Company: a sweet history.” Author and historian Sammarco will be signing his book while the Choco-leles, the ukulele group that meets each week in the common room of the Walter Baker Building, lead the singalong.
