A message from MILTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS:
Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,
At approximately 11:45am today, the Milton Police Department notified me of an incident on the Milton/Mattapan line. The Milton Police instructed that no Lockdown or Shelter-In-Place was necessary in any of our schools. They did advise me to have Tucker Elementary School students remain indoors for recess.
As Milton Public School parents, guardians and staff are aware, we have been trained by the Milton Police in Lockdown and Shelter-In-Place practices and procedures.
We do not have any additional information at this time, but would like to assure you that the Milton Police and the Milton Public Schools prioritize the safety and security of Milton’s students and staff and continue to maintain open communications.
Sincerely,
Mary C. Gormley, Superintendent
