“Marshall” to play at Milton Public Library
Movie to show on Tuesday, August 7th
On Tuesday, August 7th, our “Tuesday Night at the Movies” choice is “Marshall” which is based on the incredible true story of future Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and one of the landmark cases of his life. It follows the young lawyer, played by Chadwick Boseman, as he travels to conservative Connecticut to defend a black chauffeur charged with sexual assault and attempted murder of his white socialite employer. Muzzled by a segregationist court, Marshall partners with a courageous young Jewish lawyer and together they mount the defense in an environment of racism and anti-Semitism. This film also includes actors Sterling K. Brown, Kate Hudson and Josh Gad, and it is a gripping tale! This free screening will start promptly at 6:30 p.m., and the film is rated PG-13 for “mature thematic content, sexuality, violence and some strong language” so it is not suitable for small children. The running time is 1 hour, 59 minutes. This is a very inspiring story – so please join us.
