Traffic restrictions to be implemented Monday July 9 in East Milton
Beginning Monday, July 9th, 2018, traffic restrictions will be implemented in East Milton Square on Adams Street between Granite Avenue and Lakin Square, Quincy.
As the town continues the drain replacement project on Adams Street between Granite Place and Washington Street, one lane of travel on Adams Street will be closed due to the narrow width of the road.
Traffic entering Milton (WB) from Quincy will not be affected. Eastbound traffic (going toward Quincy) will be impacted. Adams Street will be closed to traffic at the East Milton Fire Station (open to MBTA buses only). Vehicles may still access East Milton Square via Franklin Street and Church Street.
Any traffic traveling toward Quincy on Adams Street will be detoured down Granite Place to Brackett Street to Washington Street and back onto Adams Street.
Motorists are asked to please be considerate of the residents in this neighborhood who are trying to enter or exit driveways or may be walking with small children.
The contractor will be working 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. for between two or three weeks.
