Free summer reads and book swap to be held on July 24th
Switch your old books out for newer ones at East Church
Halfway through the summer you’ve probably finished most of your stack of summer reading and are looking for some more intriguing titles. Here’s a chance to restock, weed your bookshelves, and have some fun! Join us Tuesday, July 24th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on the lawn of East Church, 610 Adams Street (or inside Fellowship Hall if it rains) for a book swap – or just take a few titles away if you have nothing to share. Discover a new author – or a new book by a favorite author. If you need more room on your shelves, bring a few books to share.
Swapped books should be gently used and only recreational reading (no textbooks or old encyclopedias, please). Popular series for kids are especially welcome, as are novels and non-fiction for all ages, such as biographies, gardening, cooking, sports, science, crafts, etc. Please make sure whatever you bring to swap is something you’d find appealing.
Within these guidelines, you may bring as many books to swap as you wish.
Stop on your way home from work, before dinner or when you’re out for an early evening stroll. All are welcome!
