Milton High School to host Amor Towles for his presentation of bestselling novel A Gentleman in Moscow
Amor Towles to come to Milton on Wednesday, May 16th
NY Times award winning author Amor Towles presents his bestselling novel A Gentleman in Moscow, on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018, at Milton High School’s auditorium, 25 Giles Road. This free event opens with a book signing at 5:00 p.m., followed by a talk from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and The Milton Library Foundation.
The 2018 selection for Milton Reads is A Gentleman in Moscow, soon to be made into a mini-series starring Kenneth Branagh and directed by Tom Harper for Entertainment One. Published in 2016, the novel soared to the top of the NY Times bestsellers’ list where it has remained for 57 weeks, and was featured on the “Best Books” list for Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the San Francisco Chronicle, and NPR. It has been translated into 20 languages, including Russian.
Author Amor Towles will delve into A Gentleman in Moscow, described by Kirkus Reviews as, “In all ways a great novel, a nonstop pleasure brimming with charm, personal wisdom, and philosophic insight. A Gentleman in Moscow is Mr. Towles’ second book after his 2011 best selling debut novel, Rules of Civility. He lives with his family in Manhattan where he writes full time.
