Arbor Day Earth Celebration to be held by Wakefield Estate and Milton Shade Tree Advisory Committee
Learn about the importance of trees in our local environment
The Milton Shade Tree Advisory Committee and the Mary M.B. Wakefield Charitable Trust are teaming up once again to offer a family-friendly Arbor Day Earth Celebration on Friday, April 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wakefield Estate in Milton. This event will have a “trees are great for the earth,” mashing Earth Day and Arbor Day. The event will emphasize the importance of trees in our local environment and will include a fun array of Spring activities for all ages including a tree planting demo & raffle, “worm compost” session, Citizen Scientist tree phenology (observing) activities, earth art, animal visits, “BYOPicnic,” “worm sundae” making, and other hands-on learning adventures. This event is rain-or-shine and free.
