Largebucks estate to be preserved

A non-profit group organized by well-heeled neighbors who desire not a development next door has purchased the Largebucks Estate on Dedham Avenue.

The 90 acre site complete with mansion, stables, a servant-whipping out-building and smokehouse is to be preserved for the enjoyment of the public on days that should cause the absolute minimal intrusion for the abutters.

Local residents are expected not to notice the loss of $100,000+ in annual property tax from the site, nor the fact that it’s completely acceptable for a 70 unit building to go up on the other side of town.

While visitors to the Largebucks Estate will be able to see how a tiny fraction of the population lived in luxury off of the sweat and toil of others (no touching!), local residents are expected not to notice the loss of $100,000+ in annual property tax from the site, nor the fact that it’s completely acceptable for a 70 unit building to go up on the other side of town.
