Milton Historical Society’s Winter Lecture Series “History at the Hearth”to be held at Suffolk Resolves House
The Milton Historical Society’s Winter Lecture Series “History at the Hearth” will be held at the the Suffolk Resolves House, 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton.
This year’s theme is “Through the Lens,” and Jon Green, MHS Curator, will explore our history through photographs in the Historical Society’s collections. Photographs, which are growing in popularity both as objects acquired for collections and as sources utilized by historians, are often extremely delicate items and complex historical sources. The Society’s collection offers a unique opportunity to examine the history of photography and the pros and cons of using photographs as sources for historical research.
The program lasts one hour and will be held on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Space is limited to 20 people per session and reservations are required. RSVP to Eleanor at 617-696-4115 or [email protected].
