The Printmaking Invitational at the Milton Art Center Gallery will be open from February 9 – March 17, 2018. The exhibition will include a selection of prints by James Baker, Holly Burnes, Sandy Butler, Sandra Cardillo, Susan Denniston, Stacy Friedman, Alex Gerasev, Maddu Huacuja, Jennifer Hughes, Shane Kier, Carolyn Muskat, Deb Olin, Ted Ollier, Barbara Putnam, Rhoda Rosenberg, John Schulz, Zoe Rose Scott, Marilyn Sherman, and Bob Tomolillo.
These are artists living and/or working in the Boston area and beyond. Most are primarily printmakers, while some primarily work in other mediums. Many artists work full time, while others are in education, music, and other professional fields. All artists see printmaking as an integral part of their creative expression. Printmaking is a rich and versatile medium, and has a global impact on so many areas of history including politics, religion, literature, music, and technology. The work demonstrates the depth and breadth of contemporary printmaking, in a range of mediums and subject matters, from narrative to abstract. The MAC Gallery is excited to present this exhibition and welcomes the community to the opening reception on February 9th at 6:30 p.m.
