Save the date for Milton Public Library’s 12th Literary Gala
When: Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Granite Links Golf Club, Quincy, MA
Support the Milton Public Library by celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Milton Library Foundation at our 12th Literary Gala on Wednesday, November 1st at Granite Links in Quincy. Would you consider becoming a Sponsor, donating or purchasing an ad? Invitations will be mailed in early September.
The Gala speaker will be Michael Tougias, author of The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue, recently made into a major Disney film.
The 2017 Gala honoree will be Marge Jeffries, an advocate for the library in so many ways for so many years: from serving as a Trustee, creating book clubs, playing her flute at the Library café to overseeing the installation of bike racks in the parking area and being a voice for the library at town meetings.
The mission of the Milton Library Foundation is to ensure the Milton Public Library’s continued growth towards excellence. This year’s Fund-a-Need Campaign, “Re-envisioning Space”, will fund a study to redefine the usage of areas within our existing footprint so that we continue to provide a state-of-the-art Library experience. So much has changed since the current library was laid out in 2009. Please consider supporting this critical initiative to help us meet the 2017 demands we face as a Library and community center to Milton.
The Milton Library Foundation spearheads major fundraising efforts to bridge the gap between our community’s aspirations for its library and the assets available from municipal budgets. Our community depends on you.
