Boston photographer to be on display in Milton Public Library
During the month of July, the library’s Wotiz Gallery will host talented Boston photographer Paul Weiss who will display black and white pictures on a variety of topics, including portraits and designs.
He is from North Carolina, attended college in the south and then studied photography at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. He then worked for Andy Warhol for several years, as Warhol had really admired Paul’s portrait work. Mr. Weiss’ portfolio is primarily in black and white, and he uses analog (not digital) to create the images.
He develops and prints everything himself, and his photos have been shown in numerous galleries, private collections, universities and museums. They have also been displayed alongside some of the masters he studied in college: Edward Weston, Weegee, Yousuf Karsh, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Mary Ellen Mark just to name a few.
Please come and enjoy this fine exhibit from June 29th through July 31st.
