The town of Milton has hired Lauren Masiar as Assistant Town Planner, Town Administrator Michael Dennehy has announced.
Masiar, who holds a Master’s Degree in City, Community and Regional Planning from Boston University, comes to Milton from the 128 Business Council in Waltham, where she served as Transportation Management Association Program & Policy Manager. Before working for the 128 Business Council, Masiar was employed by the Town of Islip Planning Department on Long Island, and the Boston University City Planning and Urban Affairs Department.
“The Town of Milton is very pleased to welcome Lauren Masiar to our Planning Department,” said Town Administrator Michael Dennehy. “With a background in both municipal planning and transportation planning, we know she will be a great asset to our community.” Masiar started in Milton on June 13.
Masiar reports to Director of Planning and Community Development William Clark. Masiar said she is looking forward to refocusing on municipal planning while bringing her experience in transportation planning to bear in her position in Milton.
Masiar holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Design, with a concentration on Urban Studies, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
