Treasure hunt and free tours to be offered by Forbes House Museum

In conjunction with “We Are Milton,” the Forbes House Museum is planning a number of special events. On Saturday, June 24th, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., the museum will offer an outdoor historical Treasure Hunt that is perfect for families. The replica of the Lincoln Cabin will also be open for visitors. In addition, the museum will have its regularly scheduled guided tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please call ahead for tour reservations: 617-696-1815.

On Celtic Sunday, June 25th, the Forbes House Museum will offer special free tours focusing on Captain Robert Bennet Forbes’s trip to Ireland in 1847 and the worklife of the early Irish immigrants who comprised the majority of the Forbes’s domestic staff. Available tour times: 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Space is limited to 15 people. Please call ahead for reservations at 617-696-1815. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space permits.
