Milton Parks and Recreation to present Lamar Reddicks Basketball Clinic for boys and girls grades 3-8
Held at the Casey outdoor basketball courts located at Milton High School, this clinic will be directed by Lamar Reddicks (AD and Head Boys Coach, Milton Academy). The cost is $100 for 4 Sunday nights (June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Rain date will be the following night from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the same location.
ABOUT THE CLINIC: These clinics are designed to teach a strong foundation of the fundamentals of basketball and stress leadership, hard work, and dedication within the framework of a team concept and winning attitude. The clinics will be instructional with their main focus on skill development in the areas of shooting, passing, ball handling, defense, and rebounding. Finally, they will also provide a healthy, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants, staff and parents. We invite and welcome your participation!
CLINIC DIRECTOR: Lamar Reddicks just finished his 8th season as the Head Coach at Milton Academy. Prior to Milton Academy, Lamar spent 7 years at Harvard University and 1 year at Boston University as an assistant coach. Lamar is a graduate of Bentley College where he started every game and helped his team to a winning record each year. Before attending Bentley, he helped guide Milton High School to a 25-0 record and a Division 2 State Championship as a senior in 1995-96. He was the League MVP that season and named to both the Boston Globe Super Team and the Boston Herald Dream Team. He has also been quite active in community service over the years serving as mentor in the DARE program. He also has directed, coached and refereed in the youth basketball programs in Milton.

The Clinic Staff: Staff includes college and high school coaches from the New England area along with current and former collegiate players.
Grouping: Boys and girls will be grouped together by age and ability. Instructional work will be done with players of the same relative ability. Each participant will receive a t-shirt.
Father’s Day Special: June 18th fathers are invited to join their son or daughter for an extra hour from 5:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for parents and their kids to spend quality time together while learning to play basketball. They will learn to handle the ball, fill the lanes, and shoot the “J” together. They will also compete as a team in a variety of competitions including free-throws, hot shot, and knock out. (This 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. part of the clinic is optional, if you do not wish to participate we will look forward to your arrival at 6:00 p.m.)
