Frank Schroth announces candidacy for re-election, Pct. 2 Town Meeting Member
Frank Schroth has announced his candidacy for re-election as Town Meeting Member in Precinct 2. Frank has lived in Milton since 1988 and has been active in numerous community organizations. He has served six years on the Board of Trustees for the Milton Public Library, most recently as chair; he is on the board of Friends of Milton Crew; he was a founding member of ArtSpace Milton, and in the past, coached Milton Youth Soccer. He hosts a Milton Access TV cable program called My Town Matters.
Currently, Frank is Editor-in-Chief of DroneLife, a publication about the emerging drone industry. For many years, he was the publisher of 02186 MyTownMatters, an online publication about the people, events, and issues that matter to Milton, MA.
“Along with my firm support of our schools, library, and cultural life, I will work to help address specific issues for Precinct 2. Some of our challenges relate to the commercial future of the Central/Eliot and Lower Mills business areas. I support the implementation of Milton’s Master Plan, on which so many citizens worked. We need a vision for responsible commercial development. The pending Ice House proposal is one such example. We need to protect, preserve, and plan.”
Frank has made his career in technology and publishing. He was a founding partner of Where, Inc., which innovated the use of mobile location-based technology. He was responsible for bringing many publications from print to online. Frank is a graduate of Fairfield University and earned his master’s degree from Lesley University in moderate special needs.
Frank and his wife Annie Davis have two children, Meg and Steve, both proud graduates of Milton High School. The family has strongly supported Milton’s fine and performing arts, athletics, and the French Immersion program.
“I have been involved in the Town of Milton since we moved here, and I hope to continue to serve our community as a town meeting member. My door is open to all people and points of view; I will work hard to represent the many voices of Precinct 2 and the Town of Milton. I thank you for your consideration and ask for one of your votes on April 25th.”
Frank would appreciate your Pct 2 vote for Frank Schroth for Town Meeting Member.
