Milton residents invited to join neighbors in Boston Women’s March for America
A few days ago, we posted about Milton Neighbors meeting up for the Boston Women’s March on Saturday.
An additional group neighbors will be meeting up downtown — details below:
A group of us are meeting up for the Boston Women’s March for America– this Saturday, Jan. 21st! We’re meeting BY 10:15 a.m. outside 138 Tremont St.– the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, right across from Park St. station. (We are planning to arrive between 9:30 and and 10:00 a.m.) From there, we’ll walk across the Common to the rally.
The Cathedral will be open from 9:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Coffee, water, food, bathrooms– hospitality! So, if you get there early, you can get some of your needs met!
If you haven’t yet registered for the march, you can do so here: Boston Women’s March For America.
Please note that the Boston Police Department has made the following requests of marchers:
- You may bring signs, banners and apparel that help you identify with your group or cause.
- Please note that in the interest of public safety, the City of Boston has requested no backpacks, large bags or banner/signs on wooden sticks or poles. Instead please consider clear backpacks or plastic bags to carry your belongings.
- We encourage people to use cardboard sign posts or to hand carry signs.
