Milton’s Harland St., Sumner St., and Canton Ave. to be repaved Dec. 5 and 6

The Town’s paving contractor is scheduled to perform final roadway paving at the following locations and times:

Monday December 5, 2016:

• Harland Street (Canton Avenue to the dead end)
• Sumner Street (Canton Avenue to Pope Hill Road)

Tuesday December 6, 2016

• Canton Avenue (Blue Hills Parkway to Apple Lane)

The work will begin at 7:00 a.m. both days. Police details will be onsite to direct local traffic and assist the construction crews. The roadways will remain open to at least one-way traffic at most times, and there may be brief periods of limited access for residents while the paving equipment passes each driveway and the new asphalt is rolled.

Street parking will be prohibited during roadway construction, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Department of Public Works – Engineering at (617) 898-4900.
