Suspended Sculpture Installed at the Milton Public Library:
“A Community Dream Catcher”
Step into the library’s lobby and look up: there you will see many hoops suspended in the air. It is a giant Community Dream Catcher! The Community Dream Catcher was created as part of the Milton Reflecting project by local artist Sue Hoy with the help of Milton residents.
Each hoop is woven with strips of t-shirts, maps, and reflective paper contributed by local Miltonians. Each individual circle represents a different community of our town – each one is unique, and together they form a complete whole. The circles represent the circles of our community, coming together in one place. Fill out a Milton Dreams card and add it to the colorful clothesline below the constellation! Read what others dream of for Milton. The cards will accumulate throughout the year as a record of how we reflect on our home. The Milton Public Library is located at 476 Canton Avenue, and for more information about displaying your art, contact Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at (617) 698-5757, x. 3.
