MWRA water main maintenance likely to cause discolored water and slightly lower water pressure in areas of Hyde Park and Milton
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be conducting water main maintenance in Hyde Park.
The project will start on Monday, October 17th and will be completed by Friday, October 21, 2016.
Though the work is being done in Hyde Park, it will likely result in a slight change in water pressure and discolored water in parts of Milton during this five day period.
If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes.
Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used.
Residents may want to wait for the water to clear before using it.
If you have any questions, please contact Milton’s MWRA Community Relations Manager, Leonard Cawley, (617) 305-5757, [email protected] or MWRA’s 24-hour water line: (617) 305-5950.
