Milton residents to attend MassPort board meeting Sept. 15
35% of all Logan arrivals fly directly over Milton at about 1,700 feet – the highest volume ever seen and there are plans afoot to expand the use of these runways.
Due to the new NextGen navigation system, the planes are lower and more concentrated than they have ever been. Often, planes start bombarding the concentrated paths over the same swath of homes, from 5:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 a.m, sometimes later. They fly every 30-120 seconds, averaging about 500 planes per day.
This is not fair and it is not healthy.
And it can be fixed.
Please join your fellow Milton residents in attending the MassPort Board Meeting on Thursday, September 15th at 9:00 a.m. at MassPort Headquarters which is located at One Harborside Drive, East Boston, MA 02128. There is ample, free parking there. Please be there by 8:30 a.m. to clear security.
If you would like a ride into Boston please be at the Cunningham Community Meeting Hall parking lot (75 Edge Hill Road) by 7:15 a.m. and we will coordinate rides and get you back to Milton.
Please wear RED so we all stand out. For those who wish to learn more, please join the Save Milton Skies Facebook Group.
