Notice of Public Meeting regarding Hendries Property, 131 Eliot Street

The Board of Selectmen invites you to a public meeting concerning the demolition of the Hendries building and the proposed development of a mixed-use residential and commercial facility at the site. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 24, at 7:00 p.m. at the Milton Council on Aging building located at 10 Walnut Street.

Pursuant to Section III.J (Central Avenue Planned Unit Development) of the Milton Zoning Bylaws, Carrick Realty Trust (“Carrick”) has submitted to the Milton Planning Board an application for a special permit and site plan approval to develop the Hendries property. Carrick owns the largest portion of the property and the Town of Milton owns a smaller parcel.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information concerning the transfer of the Town’s property to Carrick, the demolition of the existing structure, and the design of the mixed-use project. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.
