Site development testing will be taking place on the future site of the Milton Animal Shelter on Tuesday, July 26.
The site is on the former dump access road, between Quarry Hills Golf Course and the new subdivision on Pleasant Street.
The Town’s subcontractor, Maine Drilling and Blasting, will do some site clearing and dig site specific exploratory holes necessary for modeling of soils for engineering purposes. The subcontractor will be using chainsaws and one piece of tracked heavy equipment to handle the work. A small crew of tree cutters will only cut small saplings and brush necessary for the equipment to access the site.
Work will occur from 8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m.
