Milton Historical Society to hold Annual Gala Dinner

Where: The Neighborhood Club of Quincy, 27 Glendale Road, Quincy
Peter Gittleman of Historic New England will present a brief history of the 1878 William Ellery Channing Eustis Estate, one of the oldest Gilded Mansions in Massachusetts. This spectacular home, which sits on eighty acres of picturesque landscape at the base of the Blue Hills, is full of stunning, intact architectural and interior design details. The estate was acquired by Historic New England in 2012. Mr. Gittleman will explain the plans for making this property into a museum and share images of the work that will be going on this spring and summer.
Social Hour starts at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.
Due to limited seating, reservations are required. RSVP as soon as possible.
Menu choices:
Roast Prime Rib of Beef with Madeira Sauce
or Baked Scrod with Sherried Bread Crumbs.
Multiple reservations can be made but be sure to include individual names, choice of menu and, if necessary, names of other people you wish to be seated with.
Cost for Milton Historical Society members is $45.00; non-member cost is $50.00.
