My name is Brian Walsh and I am requesting one of your 10 votes for Town Meeting Member Precinct 8.

My wife, Laura and I have been residents of Precinct 8 for over 30 years where we raised our three children, Caitlin, Courtney and Brendan, who all attended the Milton Public Schools.

I have been fortunate enough to have served on Milton’s School Committee for 7 years, and for the last 14 years I have been Milton’s Town Moderator. I began serving as a Precinct 8 Town Meeting Member back in the mid-1980s. When I became Moderator, I was an “ex-officio” Town Meeting Member, so I gave up my elected seat so someone else from precinct 8 could serve. With my nearly 30 years actively participating in Town Meeting, I am as or more knowledgeable as anyone about how Town Meeting works, and more importantly how to get things done at Town Meeting. My unique vantage point at the Moderator’s podium has allowed me to watch how the most influential members gain support for their positions. I am ready to serve Precinct 8 very effectively and I respectively ask for one of your 10 Precinct 8 votes. I have a business discipline (with an MBA and as President of my own company), a passion for fairness and a focused desire to continue to help and improve the Milton I enjoy with all of you.

If elected, I will offer experience, knowledge, service, thoughtful leadership & decision making in an effort to keep Milton a great place to live.
