Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition: Why We Have Come Together
The misuse and abuse of alcohol, over-the-counter and prescription medications, and illicit drugs increasingly affect the health and well-being of millions of Americans. These issues affect families of all circumstances and people of all ages. Further, mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety, are extremely prevalent not only in adults, but in children and in seniors. Those affected often feel shame and are reluctant, or don’t know where to seek help, support and treatment.
