From the Desk of Milton Public Schools Superintendent Mary Gormley:
- Our football team will play at home tonight vs. Duxbury at 7 p.m. at Brooks Field. This is the Southwest Divisional Final. Also, our Freshman football team plays today at Brookline at 3 p.m.; and JV plays home vs. Brookline on Monday at 3:45 p.m.. Go Wildcats!
- Our Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams will be attending MIAA Div IV State Championships on Saturday in Wrentham. The girls’ team is in contention to win the divisional championships, which would be the first time since 1998. The boys’ team has not qualified for All States since 200, and they have a good chance of doing so tomorrow. Expected start times: Boys’ races at 1:05; girls’ races at 2:25pm. Good luck to our Wildcats at this event!!
2015 PARCC Results – Executive Summary
In school year 2014-2015, Milton Public Schools’ students participated in the computer-based PARCC tests in ELA and Math in grades 3-8. Statewide, 54% of districts took the PARCC while 46% took the MCAS. A smaller sample size of grade 9 and grade 11 Milton High students also took one computer-based Math PARCC test and one computer-based ELA PARCC test respectively. Those results are not included here, because the high school PARCC tests were purely optional.
