September 2015 Wotiz Gallery Art Exhibit with Rob Franco
During September, the Milton Public Library will host painter Rob Franco of Natick, MA. Mr. Franco is a commercial artist, is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and has worked at several local companies. He took 2nd place in a 2014 juried show at the Art Complex Museum. His group of paintings called “Reflections” are of boats, birds, outdoor scenes, wild Assateague Island ponies, dogs and animals.
This monthly exhibits runs from Sept. 2nd until September 30th. Below is one of his paintings. This is what he says about his work: “My passion for art began at an early age during visits to a neighborhood artist in Newport, RI. This led to training as an illustrator in the United States Air Force and continued as a graphic artist in the Boston area. After studying with renowned artist and teacher, Albert Handell, at drawing and pastel workshops in Woodstock, NY, the focus of my art was portraits of children and animals….A fascination with the ocean and other bodies of water continues to inspire my work.”
Please come and enjoy these fine paintings and visit the Milton Public Library, which is located at 476 Canton Avenue, Milton and for more information about displaying your art, call Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at 617-698-5757.
