“Recently, I had the opportunity to testify on behalf of my Bill, House Bill 3484, “An Act Relative to the Creation of the Commonwealth Technical Rescue Regions and Coordinating Council” before the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security. This bill seeks to marshal resources from within the Fire Service of the Commonwealth, creating and sustaining technical rescue-teams. These rescue teams are essential in providing additional training for disaster response. In the Commonwealth, only a handful of Fire Departments have the resources to create and sustain these vital technical rescue-teams. It is my sincere hope to ensure the funding of these crucial teams, that protect our community.”
